Evergreen is also home of Evergreen Community College.
The East Ridge Mall is located off of Capitol Expressway and provides shopping, restaurants, and malls.
Joseph D. Grant County Park is a county park made up of the Grant Ranch and 52 miles of hiking,biking, and equestrian trails on nearly 10,000 acres. The park has 40 reservable camp sites and offer hot showers too! This park is also home to the annual MUDDY BUDDY race event.
Within the Evergreen general area, there are mostly ranch homes built in the 1970s. As you move toward the hills (Emerald Hills in the winter and spring) you will find newer construction and more mixed architecture with a Mediterranean influence.
The Silver Creek area of San Jose provides newer construction homes that on average begin at over $1,000,000 sales price. Many of the communities like the Silver Creek Golf Community and Country Club are gated and provide a closed community for many residence.
The Silver Creek Sports Complex is a focal point of the community for sports, kids activities, party and holiday events.
The Coyote Creek Trail is a great path that is open to all for walking and bicycling and passes through Hellyer Park and then proceeds through Morgan Hill to Gilroy and Lake Anderson. Along the way are benches, parks, and lots of wildlife to view.
