My first experience in Los Gatos came after a long day’s work in Santa Clara. I left my corporate job off of Lawrence Expressway and “headed to the hills”. I drove down Lawrence until it became Quito Road and then turned left onto HWY 9 and ended up in downtown Los Gatos. I parked and walked for hours. The number of shops and different choices of places to eat along Santa Cruz Avenue and side roads amazed me.
Later, I would discover the Los Gatos Creek Trail, Vasona Lake Park, and St. Joseph Hill. To this day, this is one of my favorite trails to walk, bike, and hike on after a crazy week. The trails provide all levels of exercise. Simple flat walking/jogging along the creek to steep climbs up the trails for incredible views of the valley to reward you. I have kayaked on Lexington Reservoir many times.
I’ve compiled an e-book with Los Gatos housing market information, some of my favorite dining and shopping tips, a walking tour complete with architectural highlights, scenery and plenty of great food along the way.
Whether you are new to the are or a long time resident you are sure to find something new and fun to do in Los Gatos.
